Cyc wall in a weekend?

You may ask yourself the same question I did when I was searching for ways to improve my small home studio. What is a cyclorama wall a.k.a cyc wall? I had seen them many times but never knew what they were called. There are tons of tutorials out there on how to build them but basically you get a curved, seamless, ocean of white for your models to pose in front of. This type of background is great for all sorts of photography where you just want the model and maybe some props in the shot.

The folks over at EyeHandy.com have created a sexy and entertaining video (as they always do) that is also very informative. Check out the video below and if you can get past the practically naked model Ashley the information and technique in the video is very well done and useful. You may want to watch the video a couple times to make sure that you haven't missed any of the details.

Want to be a model?

I am always amazed by the fact that young women and men respond to ads posted on sites such as Craig's list that claim they are looking for models for "legitimate" modeling jobs. They almost always ask for photos of the models wearing next to nothing and sometimes even ask for nude photos. Here is a little hint to any of you that want to get into modeling.

If the spelling and grammar are terrible in the add then Do Not send in photos that show your face. Most importantly do not give out your personal information such as address or phone number. In this day and age it is just too risky and any legitimate photographer is going to make sure that there post, no matter where it is listed is of the highest quality possible.

I hope to have more photography related posts coming soon but I could not wait to post this information.

Hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas.
